Your full itinerary

Seven days across the island’s most celebrated destinations — ancient rock fortresses, highland tea country, leopard country, and the colonial coast of Galle.

Day 01 : Arrival → Sigiriya (Bandaranaike International Airport)

Your Sri Lanka journey begins at the airport where your personal chauffeur guide will be waiting to welcome you. The drive north takes you through the heart of the Cultural Triangle, with an optional stop at the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple before arriving in Sigiriya for the evening.

  • Sigiriya village tour — experience authentic rural Sri Lanka up close
  • Optional visit to Dambulla Cave Temple en route
  • Overnight — Sigiriya
Cultural Triangle to the Hill Capital

The day begins with the iconic climb up Sigiriya Rock Fortress — a 5th-century citadel rising 200 metres from the jungle, adorned with ancient frescoes and commanding panoramic views across the plains. The afternoon continues to Kandy via Pinnawala, before an evening of traditional Kandyan dance.

  • Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress — UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
  • Evening Kandy Cultural Show — traditional dance and drumming
  • BreakfastOvernight — Kandy
From the Cultural Capital to the Hill Country

A morning visit to Sri Lanka’s most sacred Buddhist site is followed by a scenic drive up into the misty highlands, where rolling tea estates and cool mountain air define Nuwara Eliya — a colonial hill station the British once called “Little England.”

  • Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandy
  • Tour a working tea factory and walk through tea plantations
  • Explore Nuwara Eliya — Gregory Lake, Victoria Park and colonial architecture
  • BreakfastOvernight — Nuwara Eliya
Through the Highland Tea Country

The drive to Ella is one of the most scenic on the island — winding through tea estates, passing waterfalls and mountain villages. Ella itself is a charming highland town surrounded by peaks, trails, and some of Sri Lanka’s most photographed landmarks.

  • Visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge — a colonial-era railway viaduct through the jungle
  • Hike Little Adam’s Peak for sweeping views across the Ella valley
  • BreakfastOvernight — Ella
From the Highlands to the Wilderness

The landscape transforms dramatically as you descend from the highlands into Sri Lanka’s most celebrated wildlife sanctuary. Yala National Park holds the world’s highest density of leopards and an extraordinary diversity of wildlife, best encountered in the golden light of late afternoon.

  • Morning drive from Ella to Yala through the dry zone landscape
  • Evening safari at Yala National Park — leopard, elephant, sloth bear, crocodile
  • BreakfastOvernight — Yala
Southern Coast

The final full day traces the southern coastline to Galle — one of Asia’s finest colonial towns, where a UNESCO-listed Dutch fortress encloses cobblestone streets, centuries-old churches, and ocean-view ramparts. The afternoon is yours to relax on the coast.

  • Explore Galle Fort — UNESCO World Heritage Site and Dutch colonial gem
  • Visit a sea turtle hatchery on the south coast
  • Relax at the beach — unwind after a week of exploration
  • BreakfastOvernight — Galle

After breakfast, the drive north along the coast brings you to Colombo — Sri Lanka’s vibrant capital. There is time for a brief city tour taking in the Gangaramaya Temple, the Pettah market, and the colonial Fort district before your transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport.

  • Brief Colombo city tour — temples, markets, and colonial architecture
  • Private transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport
